Q: What is the turning point for you to become a singer?

Taemin: I always love dancing since young, eg. Korean artistes, sunbaes and Michael Jackson's videos made me fall in love with dancing and I will practice alone at home.

                 

Q: What is your most memorable episode since your debut?

Taemin: It’s still our debut performance on a music program and it’s still fresh in my memory. Flashes of my family and relatives appeared in my head while performing on stage. I felt breathless for a moment and was trying hard to hold back my tears as I couldn’t cry.  

Q: Your greatest influence from an artiste is…..?

Taemin: It’s still Michael Jackson. Isn’t he the one at the pinnacle of the music industry? I’m very respectful of him in that aspect and my dream is also to be at the top!

Q: Beside music, what are Taemin’s other influences?

Taemin: Family. (When I told them I want to be a singer) In fact my parents did not raise any objection and gave me a lot of support. Till today they are still supporting our activities. They are also very understanding towards me and even though there was a rebellious phase, they were very tolerant and accepting.

Q: What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

Taemin: Having breakfast!

Q: Any favourite movie?

Taemin: There’s a lot~ Previously they were romantic movies, action pact movies. I prefer comedies, but now I’m more into horror movies.

Q: What is your favourite phrase or motto?
Taemin: "Do one's level best and leave the rest to God's will." Even though this phrase is my family's motto, but I personally like the meaning.

Q: How do you spend your off-days?

Taemin: School lessons and practice sessions.

Q: Ways to relieve your stress?

Taemin: Going to the dance studio. It is more spacious compared to my house; there is a sense of peacefulness. There are also friends whom I can confide in. (The dance studio) to me is just like the existence of a family. I will also go to the dance studio if I want to collect my thoughts.

Q: Which Korean artiste would you like to collaborate with?

Taemin: Eh…. A very vexing question~ There’s a lot of Korean artistes I want to collaborate with. I can’t decide on just one artiste.

Q: Which foreign artiste would you like to collaborate with?

Taemin: Usher! ………………..It is a bit of a fantasy~~

Q: What genre of music do you recently listen to?

Taemin: I have been listening to pop music all along. I also enjoy listening to R & B ballads. Very beautiful lyrics and some sad songs.

Q: Which member would you bring along to live on a no man’s island?

Taemin: Key-hyung. He will prepare everything for me~

Q:  What is your happiest moment recently?

Taemin: I watched a movie titled “Granny” recently, it is really a very good movie and I was very moved by it. My recent memorable memory will have to be the filming of “Hello” MV. I had a very happy time filming it and the set-up was very beautiful.

Q: Now you are happiest when…..?

Taemin: Having fun! I have been devoting myself in activities since my debut till end of last year. I finally can have some time on my own recently.

Q: What would you like to accomplish this year?

Taemin: I want to try a lot of things. I need to work hard in order to perform better on stage. I think presently is the most crucial period for the 5 of us. After all, we will not be known as “newbies” anymore.

Q: What is “this thing” that you definitely can’t lose?

Taemin: Everything! First of all, have to be the most presentable, the most photogenic, the most masculine face, the best character-wise, humble no. 1 (laughs). I’m joking.

Q: If you could meet yourself back then during your debut, what would you like to say to him?

Taemin: Don’t forget how you launch your career, do it seriously! Don’t forget what you want to achieve.

Q: What would you say to the present you?

Taemin: Be strong!

Q: Any resolutions for next year?

Taemin: I will be 19 next year and will have to bear more responsibility. After that, I have to show everyone the maturing me. Especially the feeling of being a grown-up.

Taemin: I’m really thankful that we receive a lot of support from our Japanese fans. From now onwards, we will have more opportunities to visit Japan and I want to create memorable memories with everyone!

Q: What’s your first impression of Onew-ssi?

Taemin: He gets along with people very well, very gentle. Others too, that’s what everyone is saying. “Onew-ssi treats others earnestly and is a very gentle person.”  

Q: Choose a colour to represent Onew-ssi.

Taemin: Green.

Q: What would you like to say to Onew-ssi.

Taemin: Everyone of us is quite stubborn, I think it must be tough for you to lead us. Even though we will always joke about and have fun but he is the most hardworking person. Onew-hyung is especially busy nowadays but there will always still be a smile on his face, it’s really comforting to see it. Onew-hyung fighting!
