Q: What is the turning point for you to become a singer?
Key: My aspiration was to become a singer when I was a child but I had other aspirations then too, for example an artist etc. I’m more inclined towards jobs in the arts line no matter what.
It has been my inner desire to become a singer.

Q: What is your most memorable episode since your debut?
Key: To be able to go to a CD shop to purchase our debut album, it felt so realistic. I can still vividly remember the scenario back then.
Q: Beside music, what are your other influences?
Key: Fashion and Arts. Its gives me a very vibrant feeling. Even though if you are not related to Fashion and Arts, but with regard to visual effect, you can see everything with your eyes, so you can’t always ignore what you see.
Q: What are your future challenges?
Key: To work hard doing SHINee’s activities, to accumulate all kinds of experience. My dream is my wish.
Q: What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
Key: To turn on my mobile and ipod.
Q: Any favourite movie?
Key: Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru (ただ、君を愛してる) (Just Loving You, English title Heavenly Forest). Ah… Japanese movie, let me think, then it will have to be “Dreamers”.
Q: Any favourite anime? Or comics?
Key: I love all the works from Studio Ghibili. Wasn’t “The Borrower Arrietty” recently released? I really like this film, until that I really wish that the character like Arrietty really exist in real life.
I’m sure fans are aware that I’m a fan of Studio Ghibili, even though I always receive gifts related to Studio Ghibili, I still want Arrietty as a gift. The alive Arrietty. (Smiles)
Q: What is your favourite phrase or motto?
Key: I have a lot of favourite phrases. Like, “In order to achieve 1% of fame, you have to put in 99% of hard work!”, and things like “you will succeed if you want to” etc.
Q: How do you spend your off-days?
Key: Meeting up with my friends, window-shopping and practice sessions etc.
Q: What is your greatest fear?
Key: I feel that it should be “hate” instead of fear. Once I feel that I hate this thing, I will not continue doing it, I will be very anxious, anyway won’t you only see the negative side? That is fear, restless.
Q: Ways to relieve your stress?
Key: I will relieve it first before stress accumulates.
Q: The best place for relaxation?
Key: Bed.
Q: Which Korean artiste would you like to collaborate with?
Key: FT Island’s Jaejin. He’s a very close friend. He’s also a singer and sunbae and started his promotional activities in Japan earlier than us, I can learn a lot from him. Because he’s a bassist, it will be really interesting if we collaborate.
Q: Whose songs do you recently listen to?
Key: Justin Bieber’s songs.
Q: What role do you portray in SHINee?
Key: My role is a linkage/bridge.
Q: Which member would you bring along to live on a no man’s island?
Key: Taemin.
Q: Favourite food and least favourite food?
Key: My least favourite food is carrot. I’m into Italian cuisine recently. Pasta with Italian salad dressing are very delicious.
Q:  What is your happiest moment recently?
Key: My birthday party. I invited my friends over for a party, it was really fun.
Q: What are you most concerned about?
Key: Fashion. I’m very concerned about the Autumn/Winder Fashion at the moment. I will occasionally shop around if my schedule permits.
Q: What is “this thing” that you definitely can’t lose?
Key: To have a very strong desire for anything because I want to do a lot of things. Even if it doesn’t interest me, I would also want to try it, a lot of these thoughts.
Q: If you could meet yourself back then during your debut, what would you like to say to him?
Key: More practice!
Q: What would you say to the present you?
Key: “I really like you!” I like you not because you are amazing but because you are ordinary.
Q: Any resolutions for next year?
Key: To work even harder next year compared to this year, domestically and internationally.
Q: Please leave a message for the readers.
Key: I feel that the cultural exchange between Japan and Korea is stronger compared to other countries. Through this magazine, even just a little, it’s a pleasure to be able to transmit more K-Pop information and our news to everyone.
Key>>Minho
Q: What’s your first impression of Minho?
Key: At first I thought he’s a foreigner, then I though that he’s older than me.
Q: Use a colour to represent Minho.
Key: Black.
Q: What would you like to say to Minho.
Key: I hope we can become closer compared to now, this is my wish, I don’t know what Minho thinks of it….. (Laughs)
